This dessert is so easy to make. All ingredients you might already have in your pantry and refrigerator and the combination is so tasty!!! Oreos are my ultimate favorite cookie! I avoid buying them because I eat them all! I figured a nice easy dessert for valentines that you can make with the kids and it will be enjoyed by everyone in you house will be a great post. So I hope you really like it. I made mine with strawberry due to the occasion but if you like vanilla you can make them like that as well.
Here is what you need to make 24 treats
24 cupcake cups
1 package of original Oreo (not double stuffing)
6 tbsp of unsalted butter
2 8oz whip cream cheese (I used strawberry flavor)
1 4pack of Greek yogurt cups ( I used the strawberry flavor)
1 3.9oz package of chocolate pudding (you will need 2 cups if milk for that)
You need to crush the Oreo cookies in the food processor until they are completely mashed. If you don’t have a food processor you can put them in a ziplock bag and mashed them. Add 6 tbsp of melted butter to them and with you hands mix them all up.
Mix the cream cheese with the yogurt until well combined. I prefer the whipped cream cheese because it gives it a better consistency. Make the chocolate pudding following the instructions on the box. If you like to make homemade pudding that will be perfectly fine.
Pro assemble the dessert:
Place the baking cups on the cupcake mold. Add one full tablespoon of Oreo mix to the cups. Press firmly to the bottom (as if it will be the crust for a cheesecake). Add one tsp of strawberry mix and layer on top. Like I said: if you prefer another flavor you can buy the cream cheese and yogurt the flavor of your choice or for vanilla you can just buy plain cream cheese, vanilla yogurt and add 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
Then add a layer of chocolate pudding (also one spoon of it), add another spoon of strawberry mix and finish with chocolate chips on top.
Cover with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least 2 hours to set. Remove from freezer. Peel the baking cup and enjoy!!!
I actually made them last night and pull them out of the freezer this afternoon and the got the perfect eating consistency within 10 minutes of being out. My husband and girls love them more on the chilly side.
